“My little children, your hearts are small but prayer stretches them …” St John Vianney

Baptisms

If you live in the Parish of St John Vianney (a map of the Parish is available here) and would like to apply for your child to be baptised, please attend Mass and speak to one of the priests afterwards.  He will want to meet you to get to know you, talk about the sacrament of baptism, and make sure you are familiar with the Baptism liturgy.  An important point to bear in mind is that you will need at least one confirmed Catholic godparent (ideally two) who attends Mass regularly.  If you do not live or worship regularly in our Parish but would like to apply for baptism at the church of the Immaculate Heart or St Paul the Apostle, you will first need to talk to the Parish Priest in the area where you live so that he can grant permission for the baptism to take place in the Parish of St John Vianney.

If you are an adult who has not been baptised, and are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith, please speak to one of the priests after Mass.
